If I'm correct...
3 canvases I painted will be for sale in the Black Box (in the Cathedral Quarter) from next Thursday, along with work from other uni students. Don’t know if it’s just foundation students or not.
To be honest I don’t know much about the whole thing. I just know I and several other people gave a lady from the Black Box some of our artwork today.
Either way, next Thursday night is Late Night Art, were all the galleries open late and new exhibitions are shown, and you know what that means? Free wine!
So come along if you want and buy one of my over priced pieces!
Talking to Jackie D on Skype.
She’s well wicked… and made me an awesome mix-cd today full of great music. Some of which I know like Sufjan Stevens and Jurassic 5, and lots I didn’t actually know, but am now definitely checking out.
Thanks Jacqueline! You’re well awesome and I don’t mind that you broke my Labyrinth dvd box (cause I know you’re reading this)
You better believe I clicked that ‘add as friend’ button.

Efterklang - Modern Drift
How beautiful is this music? I can’t wait for this album.
Really nice song. Gonna have to look into these guys now.
I hate the X Factor anyway but...
I walked in the down, was getting something from the kitchen and heard terrible out of tune singing coming from the living room where my granny is watching X Factor. I walk in wondering which of the contestants singing was that dire and it was “Jedward”.
That is the first time I’ve heard them sing cause I do like to stay away from X Factor, but wow that was actually terrible out of tune and just… bad. Awh well, doesn’t matter anyway. There is still good music out there to listen to. It does suck though that those judges don’t really have any musical talent and are the ones judging that show.
That’s enough from me for now. I wont get into my whole theory about how Jedward not going out every week is actually just an elaborate joke being played on the public by the public.
Another example of my painting workshop work. I really like this and am really loving this part of the course. It’s such a relaxed and inspiring class. I really like the work I’m producing, especially since I start so many pieces just messing about and just seeing where it takes me. Like this started cause I wanted to make splats on a page.
After the assessment I’ll bring the pieces home, scan ‘em in and put them up on my art blog to check out if you’re interested.
Thanks for the followfriday tweet Andy. I’m now well popular on the internet.

This is the kind of work I’m making in our painting workshop… It’s a lot redder in real life.
I iz well disturbed. Gives me ur monie fo ma artz!
Hmm quite interesting, almost a painting of the futurist movement with elements of expressionism. Perhaps the sudden and shocking colour contrasts are representative of a contrast within the artist himself, and he was in fact happy as larry whilst painting this wonderful piece.
Would I pay for it? No
Would other people pay for it? Most certainly
Still…its no “Son of Man”
I would actually say it’s an expressionist interpretation of a photograph of a murder victim of the infamous Jack The Ripper. So it is a slain, hung and mutilated corpse of a female prostitute. Being a portrait of a dead prostitute it may be an expression of my feelings of sexual frustration of hatred of rejection. That or I have a weird inner wish to kill people… that, or I just thought it looked cool, and people could interpret and criticize as they wished. Either way, I kinda like it.
This workshop really lets you go mad with how you paint, make and think about art. I love it.

Muffin Update -
It was sickening. Delicious chocolate chips and whatnot, but the gummi bits on the top were a little… Blurgh. Oh god… even that french fancy was a bit sickening…
Wont be getting another one of those anytime soon. However, I’m totally going back tomorrow to sit in the beer tent all day after lectures.
Went to the Continental Market for lunch, got a German hotdog, saw Matthew and Sarah then got this big chocolate bastard! It’s a ‘party muffin’ and it’s got a mother frackin’ french fancy on it!
Jealous much?
Sitting in the art room - painting and working away while listening to Adam & Joe on the iPlayer - alone.
Everyone from my class is in a print workshop which I don’t get to do till Thursday.
It’s nearly lunch. Thanks goodness.
One is the loneliest number…
After a comment made yesterday, I now want a Scott Pilgrim-esque parka (white fluffy top included)
Crappy thing is, I bet those ones where costume made for the movie. Which I totes can’t wait to see.
It’s a slow blogging day people! They can’t all be gold nuggets of wisdom!
